As Cloudinary is CDN it obviously saves space on our hosting server and is very fast to load on a website. Cloudinary with WordPress is very easy to use. You only have to activate a plugin and some configuration and you are ready to go.

To use Cloudinary on your WordPress site, you should go through the points below:

In Cloudinary SIte
  • Make a Cloudinary account for free
  • Verify your email
  • Go to cloudinary.com/console
  • Copy API Secret of your account
In your WordPress theme site
  • Add and activate the Cloudinary plugin
  • Go to Settings of the plugin
  • Paste the API Secret of your account
  • Upload all your media in the media library of the Cloudinary plugin
  • To add media to your editor just click on Cloudinary Upload/ Insert button
  • Select the media you want and click on insert to post

You can easily insert media from the media library of WordPress as it updates all the images uploaded in Cloudinary because you have linked your Cloudinary account with that WordPress site.

For migrating all the images from your server to Cloudinary, you have to follow steps mentioned below:

In Cloudinary SIte
  • Make a Cloudinary account for free
  • Verify your email
  • Go to cloudinary.com/console
  • Copy API Secret of your account
In your WordPress theme site
  • Add and activate the Cloudinary plugin
  • Go to Settings of the plugin
  • Paste the API Secret of your account
  • Go to media library
  • Select list view as give you more features
  • Select all the images or videos you want to migrate to cloud
  • Click on bulk actions
  • Select upload to Cloudinary
  • Click apply
  • You are done.

You can also delete all the images if you want. This will make no effect on your website. Your website will display all images in place you want without any mistake.
